Ok so the whole world knows I bought a 250SE with the hyperion packs, also running scorpion motor, futaba tail servo and kde bottom plate.

couldnt get the 600/700 size past the missus I think she is starting to wise up, but she thinks the 250 was $100

Mate I bought a 250 when they first came out with high expectations but was very dissapointed. They are very hard to get flying right & are affted by wind way too much.

I crashed mine twice in 2 weeks & got the sh!ts with it & sold it. One of the times I was doing aileron tic tocs when a small (& I mean small) gust of wind caught the poor thing & dumped it. There isnt enough collective to pull of situations like that.

Just watch when building & repairing that you take care with the small screws, they strip way too easily.

Cmon Mizark, I've seen you fly! I can't see how you could not throw this thing around in some wind. I fly mine when there is a bit of wind, it is affected by wind but I just pretend that it is a controllable kite

I do agree with you about aileron tic tocs though, certainly needs some precise inputs to keep it falling out of the sky. I'm hoping that the scorpion motor I'm about to put in will give it a bit more punch. It's also a shame that the early V1 250's were released before they sorted out all of its bugs. I think it gave it a worse wrap than what it deserves.

The 250 is definitely not for everyone, but I love mine I guess when you are a city dweller like myself it's great to pull it out of my pocket bang a few packs through it at my local and leave without even bothering the greenskeeper

Time will tell if Pete likes the twitchy/fiddly heli that the 250 is.

We will see how I go, but I wanted something I could fly in the small park over the road from my house, I can see myself getting another RC screwz kit to put on it, I put one on the 500 after getting the s*$@s with the cheap align screws. It should be good and teach me some managemnet skills, being the v2 I hope its better than what you had Mark.

Yeah maybe the Scorpion may give it more balls....hopefully. I will say I never tried the Align carbon blades, just some cheapy carbons as theAligns were not out yet.

Well I took the little one out today for it first full flight (no wind) all i can say is what a little beast , yes you have to keep on it but so much fun, flips and rolls were nice and fast, I was only using a small area but with the size of this thing its not a problem. The scorpion motor seems to have plenty of power and I have also done the carbon push rod for the tail.

Glad to hear you got it going Pete! Welcome to the 2fidy club What tail servo did you end up going with? So you got that wag sorted? I haven't had a chance to test my 250 with the Scorpion motor properly. Only hovered it briefly. Felt like it had some extra punch than stock so can't wait to try it outside. Shame you can't make it this weekend.

Dave... yeah got the tail wag sorted, it was more about understanding the dsx9 than the heli itself, im using the futaba servo at the moment. It seems to have planty of power to me. couple of weeks to go and i will be out on the weekend.
