If anyone is going to purchase a 700 for hard 3D purposes then here are the only upgrades you will need.

1.Quik uk link set
2.quik uk cluch

Cant beat that. (IMO)

Dont get me wrong only a small % of people have popped links and had cluches go, so the upgrades are up to you.
But even with these upgrades it's still one of the cheapest 90's out. And IMO fly's better than any other 90 i have flow.

1.RAPTOR 90 3D
2.RAPTOR 90 SE
3.BLITZ AVRO
4.SYNERGY N9

I know there are alot more out there but the last two are considered as high end models and the first two have been around for donkeys and are very reliable machines.

So the choice is up to you but i know where i have ended up and am staying.

i agree to a certain point mate... but i really dont think a 700 will outfly a N9 (imo)... the N9 is just a better built machine.

but i will agree that the 700 is a much better machine in terms of bang for buck... it will be very interesting to see how align develop the 700 as they have a good reputation for making a good thing better..

i was just chatting to a mate last night who is selling both his N9's to get 2 700's after one fly of my one the other week.
and after watching Marco fly his 700's a few times now you can see just how well it really can fly. but then again anything Marco flies looks good.

got a question marco, have you changed any of the linkage rods that came with your kit?
or have they changed to links to fit better.
cause my linkage rod c was only 50mm which gives you very little screwing into the ball links.
i have changed it over to 60mm ones from the 600n kit, just wondering what rods came with your kits?

I am looking at a 90 sometime sorta soon. have researched them all and i do think the 700 is best bang for buck then followed by the r 90 3d. The thing that tips the scales for me towards the t700 is ive seen what they are capable of in the right hands (ie Marco).

IMO the way a heli fly's and what it is capable of is highly relient on the man behind the sticks. I beleive any heli that is being controlled by a pro can do anything the next heli can. Some just require more work, money and upgrades to get it to that point. If you look at pilots like alan szabo and lukas riva fly their 700's and their is no limit to what they can do with them. If those same pilots got behined a synergy N9 they would not necessarily be able to perform more manouvers or perform them any better. These days with the design of 3d helis even the best pilots cannot out fly them. It just comes down to personal preference. So IMO the 700 needs very little upgrades to make it a weapon of a 3d machine and at a 2/3 the price of some of these high end models. No doubt some of these high end models are a lot better quality but that doesn't mean it can out fly another heli, it just means the parts will not wear as quik.

I am hopeing that i can keep at least one of my 700's in the air long enough without crashing to see exactly how much wear it will produce. If i have to change gears every 50 flights or so at $20 a set then i will be happy. Just like any other heli their are upgrades that are available to decrease wear and tare. I have just ordered the G-force adjustable clutch bearing blocks to minimise wear on the main gear. I am thinking of installing it in just one of my 700's and report on the difference in wear rate.

Again it is personal preference but IMO i think the 700 is an easier heli to build, fix, maintain and fly than the N9. I have flown the N9 but not for long and my impressions of the 700 are alot better.

Hey chris.

With the quik uk link upgrade you will recieve new links, balls (including the pivot balls for servo horns ect.), and two new rods for the flybar cage. You will not need new rods. If you are refering to the rods that link the flybar cage to to washout assembly then in the quik uk upgrade kit they give you 4 longer links for that very reason. So they have thought of that and allowed for it.

I usually get them from grand rc. Just had a look they have the clutch, kasama main shaft bearing blocks, g-force clutch bearing block all in stock but the link set is out of stock. The only other place i can see that has a link set in stock in ronz helipros south.

Yea dont know why align cant get the bearings right.

I preffer the kassama bearing block. It is a lot tighter fit. I had to tap my main shaft through the bearing. Absolutely no play. I havent had to pull my main shaft out yet after about 60 flights or so but i am planing on it soon. I will check my bearings and let everyone know how they have held up.

the kde bearings have no play and the main shaft glides through them.
how are your clutches holding up with the quick uk ones?
and my reason for a few coming is i will need for both the 700's :D

looking forward to seeing you back out there marco and to see what you thought of that flyarless electric 700 :?:

Excellent. About 60 flights or so and no issues. They still grab very early. Time will tell, but i think they should be right.

Ok cool. Then you are set. The 700 flybarless i flew had those same bearings. Let me know how they hold up.
