After several flights today I was feeling pretty intune with the Trex600N. It was behaving especially well so I thought I'd do something out of the comfort zone. With just under 1/4 of a tank of fuel remaining I pushed the 600 up to about 300 feet and flipped it to inverted. Sitting level I flicked the kill switch and watched my pride and joy decent inverted. I pulled back on the elevator control and flipped it back over to upright. Regained a little lost headspeed and brought it down to a beautiful resting position in front of myself. Unreal was the feeling as I released the pucker valve and took a long deep breath. That was awesome! So great was the confidence now I had a header tank of fuel left so up I took it to about 400 feet and inverted the heli. Flicked the kill switch and decided to roll out to upright this time. No loss of headspeed and the pucker was not as tight as before. Down to a beautiful landing in front again. Pure relief grew to a huge sense of achievement... The crowd went crazy cheering and applauding... Well, the two onlookers (Paul & Kev) were beside themselves. Actually too bloody busy to even notice actually....Nah, not really true, was actually seen by both and congratulated for the step outside the comfort zone. I'll have to do it with a crowd next weekend... Just hope all the weather / wind conditions favour another attempt. Anyone needing to push themselves.... JUST DO IT, IT'S THE RUSH WE'RE ADDICTED TOO. Especially when the good stuff works out.. Have a great week all. Hope to see the great turn out next weekend...

Sounds great Dic!! Do you want to hear my arvo kip dream as well? I won't let you know anything about my "pucker valve" either If this did happen then I can't wait to see it next W/E! You need witnesses you know and I'm sure I could pay off those two for a Piroflip story But seriously, how good was today!! I'm such a helitragic....

The talent just gets out of control lately.
The guys are now progressing so quickly it's scary.
The occassional crash was sad to see but as the saying goes no crash no gain or something like that.
I've got to get some new moves to keep up with some of these guys...
How good was that sponsored (Quiet guy) think he goes by the name The Big M... Awesome for all of us to admire the fantastic flights of Marco ( sorry, I'm talking him up) but if you were there you'd be going Mmmmm, errr, shiiii, how does he?.... and the list goes on.
Keep up the great flying all.
Thanks to all for a great day again.
I wonder if he is gives lessons yet. God knows I need some guidence from those with the force... OBI and flip help us... Save the whalan crew!!!!!

Congratulations once again Richard, this time for trusting in your ability and taking the leap of faith! With the bigger helis, because they fly so well, and much more like the sim, there's no reason why you can't do your sim moves in real life. Now if I could only walk the talk. Happy simming 'til next week.
